HAARLEM JAZZ August 2010 I had a really great time singing at Haarlem Jazz last week on the 19th of August. We played at the main stage on the Grote Markt! Never performed on such a huge stage before, at least not as a solo artist, only as a backing vocalist with other artist. Anyway: it was a great experience! I loved it and the show went really well with a special feature from Michiel Borstlap. He was the "artist in residence" on this stage and invited me to do a more than one hour show in between his own performances that night. One of my favourite jazz standards, just so beautifully played by Miles, gave me the inspiration to go back in time virtually and sing this song with him as if we were playing a duet. While doing this, at some point it really felt like we were playing together and it almost seemed as if he responded as well to my lines as I did to his...like he was really there alive...Something that I would have loved to do for real :-) Hope you all enjoy the video!
